Ola and Hola Amigos

At Rhino Africa Safaris we speak many languages. Including English, French and German. Our offices are a melting pot of cultures, backgrounds, races and religions. So it should come as no surprise that we have decided to add “Ola” and “Hola” to our list of daily greetings. We believe that there is no substitute for planning your holiday in your own mother tongue and that is why we continue to expand our foreign language divisions. Our new Spanish and Portuguese divisions will target the burgeoning South American markets as well as Spain and Portugal. Since Rhino Africa Safaris started in 2004 it has rapidly become Africa’s leading online tour operator and in 2013 we were privileged to be recognised with a World Travel Award.

Each year we bring over 15,000 guests to Africa across the English, French and German divisions and with the addition of Portuguese and Spanish divisions we are looking forward to increasing that number. We love to show off this magnificent continent so the more people we can share it with the better! Our Portuguese and Spanish divisions will be based in our London office providing a useful contact point for our European clients. Having spent three months training with us in our Cape Town office, our Spanish and Portuguese consultants cannot wait to share their first-hand knowledge and new-found passion for Africa.

It would have been cruel of us to send them back to rainy London after three months without letting them enjoy a little more of what our beautiful continent has to offer. So, at the end of their training they took some time off to kick back and relax on the white sands of Cape Town. It was sad to say goodbye but we know that they had a great time and it certainly won’t be long before they are back.
We’ve asked them what they thought of their trip and collated some of the pictures they took while they were here.

Luisa García Oliver – Spanish Consultant

Luisa catching up with the news

“My three months stay in Cape Town was absolutely life changing in so many ways. I met all the Rhinos who are exceptional, I laughed, I learned and I am very grateful. I fell in love with Africa last year already when I visited and I can’t believe I will now offer a chance for other people to experience it. It is the coolest continent by far!”

VictoriaFalls was one of the most exhilarating experiences I have ever had. I suffer from acute vertigo and can’t even tackle the easiest stairs sometimes. Devil’s Pool was by all means a challenge. I thought I was going to have a heart attack but I was determined. I managed to enjoy it and almost tore my colleague Anton’s leg off trying to balance. I am happy I’ve got the picture to show my friends as none of them would believe I did it!”

Kruger National Park was hectic and fun. We saw lots of game and ticked off the Big 5 in one day. Londolozi was really special as they surprised us with sushi with our sundowners after we had mentioned that we liked it in passing.”

“I would describe Cape Town as an urban jungle because the city is a mixture of people from different backgrounds and Long Street is just wild. It’s a big city but nature isn’t too far away.  After work we would go out and explore the city and got to see all of the main attractions.”

Clara Contreras – Spanish Content Writer

Clara enjoying the view

“The trip was amazing, starting from the warm welcome from everyone in the company to the great landscapes of the city and the beautiful nature surrounding Cape Town.”

Anabela Moreira – Portuguese Consultant

Anabela at Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve

“Africa for me was the most perfect experience! I knew that it would be great before my departure but my expectations were exceeded. All I can say is wow for everything, people, places, and especially the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve.”

Tania Rodrigues Lopes – Portuguese Consultant

Tania at Victoria Falls

“It was an experience of a lifetime. Fun, adventure and new friends are what I got in three months. I never thought that Africa would be the dream trip. I saw amazing places like the Victoria Falls, met amazing people and experienced different cultures.”

Andreina Palmero – Spanish Consultant

Andreina tried horse riding

“I am extremely happy that I had the opportunity to spend three months in Africa and got to see such beautiful places like the Kruger National Park, Cape Town, Victoria Falls and Chobe in Botswana. I have travelled to many countries in different continents but I have never seen anything like this. I had an amazing time, met very unique people and I believe that Africa is one of the most important places to visit before you die.”
