For 10 years Kensington Place has been looking after guests and on Monday Night they hosted a ‘DECADEnce Party' to celebrate this occasion with friends, guests, suppliers and industry die hards. Needless to say ( !! ) a large contingent of Rhinos were invited to the celebrations.
For an office that lives in jeans, tshirts and has a very relaxed dressed code it was a wonderful opportunity to dress up and don our ‘ bling’
The owner of Kensington Place, Chris Weir and the hotel manager Sasha Fernandes know how to do things in style. The entire garden was decorated in white fair lights, a large Bedouin tent had been erected, as well as stage placed over the garden. All night long we were treated to canapés and bubbles; as a Jazz Band played.

Kensington Place has some very impressive hotel awards under its belt, most notable of which include : Best City Boutique Hotel Tatler Magazine 2007. Kensington Place was the first Boutique Hotel in Cape Town and throughout its constant upgrades and renovations it is still arguably the most personalized and welcoming place to stay in Cape Town.
Monday night's festivities went on into the early hours of the morning. Those of us who had been to previous Kensington Place parties were wise enough to book the day off on Tuesday, those unfortunate enough to not have the day off, nursed some pretty impressive hangovers!
Many thanks to Chris, Sasha and all the Kensington Place Team for a fantastic party and many many congratulations on providing 10 years of superb hospitality and service to our guests.
