Federal Air Charters

Federal Air is one of the Charter Airlines we use for Rhino Africa guests travelling from Johannesburg to one of the Kruger Park Fly in Safaris and the surrounding private concessions. Federal Air have 3 daily scheduled departures from Johannesburg . These depart at 09h30 , 11h30 and 13h30. These flights are approximately 90 minutes in duration and arrive at the airstrip closest to the lodge, from where you will then be transferred to the lodge you have booked. The return flights depart the lodge for Johannesburg at the same times.
Baggage allowance is 20 kilograms per person in soft-sided bags. Should you have excess baggage or over-sized baggage, you can leave this at the left-luggage department at Johannesburg Airport. The rate is approximately ZAR 40.00 per bag per 24 hours.
Please note that Federal Air have relocated their check-in desk to a booth in the Multistory Parkcade opposite the International Arrivals Terminal at Johannesburg Airport ( OR Tambo international ). This is easily located opposite Budget Rent A Car.
A fly in safari to one of the private lodges in the Kruger Park , is the convenient way of accessing and enjoying a safari experience.
