Franschhoek - Gastronomic Capital Of South Africa

My weekend was spent visiting my all time favourite town in the world, Franschhoek.
Nestled in the Franschhoek Valley,this "Gem of a Town" offers fine wine,tastebud explosive cuisine and the most awesome boutique and craft shops.
I was lucky enough to spend the night at the gorgeous Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa. This Hamtons-style hotel sits pearched near the top of the Valley. Breathtaking views of the mountains from your private balcony. Clean lines and earth tones run throughout the hotel. Its Autumn now so the colours of nature are in abundance.Attention to detail, world class hospitality affirmed me of why I recommend this hotel to my cleints.
I then visited Franschhoek Country House. Another beautiful property situated at the enterance to the town. Grandly decorated with exquisite colours and textures. Rose gardens are a feast for the senses. Treat yourself to a villa if staying at this property. It will be your home away from home. Great for Honeymooners and those wanting to escape to a romantic location in the heart of the winelands. It has a heated and cold water pools so you can still spalsh about in winter. Winding pathways and waterways give you that minature Venice feel.
Both of these properties will now be on my "must stay at hotels" in Franschhoek.
Go ahead, spoil yourself. Your worth it!!!
