Rhino Africa Safaris

Two reasons to visit the Eastern Cape

by Gareth de Jager

The past weekend saw 12 Rhinos set out on a 3 day trip to the Eastern Cape to visit 2 properties that should be visited when in the region. The lodge we visited was Blaauwbosch and then followed that up with a visit to a grand guesthouse in Grahamstown called 7 Worcester Street.

Blaauwbosch  is an exclusive big 5 private game reserve in the malaria free Eastern Cape. Set in the heart of foothills of the Winterhoek mountain range in the Karoo. The reserve offers a unique and private African wildlife safari experience where guests can relax in comfort. Luxurious chalets are spacious, air-conditioned and have their own dressing rooms, full bathrooms, personal bathrobes, verandahs and mountain views of the beautiful Eastern Cape.

7 Worcester Street is a beautiful guesthouse in the historic town of Grahamstown. 10 spacious and inviting rooms await you and offer the best in luxury. The textures and colours are a visual parade and the cuisine is to die for. Attention to detail and service levels are 5 star. Whilst there, you must go on an historical tour of the area. This was the highlight of the trip as I myself new very little of this part of our countries history.  The ideal stay would be 2 nights to get in 2 full tours that I guarantee will broaden your horizons.

All in all, 2 properties that will blow your mind and leave you with a warmth that will be remembered for an eternity.

Discover the Eastern Cape. It is beautiful !!!!!
