A very excited group of Rhino's embarked on a trip to the Kruger to broaden our knowledge of the many great properties that are out there.
Three of the many properties that we visited were Imbali Safari Lodge, Hoyo- Hoyo Tsonga Lodge and Hamiltons Tented Camp. All Situated within a 15km radius of each other within the Kruger National Park and 50km from the Orpen Gate.
Our first stop was at Imbali Lodge welcomed by a spectacular view over a dry river bed and a very spacious main area to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the area. Guests are very spoilt at Imbali as each suite boasts its own private Jacuzzi on magnificent wooden decks. You really feel that you are in your own hidden paradise.
Activities at Imbali include game drives, guided walks and Nomadic African Spa treatments. Imbali has a very relaxed atmosphere about it, and you will be gauranteed a Safari of a lifetime.
A short drive to Hoyo-Hoyo (which means Welcome in Shangaan) and we were welcomed by a lovely gentleman by the name of Ben. He has a wonderful warmth to him and really contributes to the colourful atmosphere that Hoyo-Hoyo has. This little camp is very exclusive as there are only six luxury rooms full of colour.
The rooms and the feeling of Hoyo-Hoyo exudes such great character that anyone will love this little haven. This lodge is definately for the traveller who is wanting an interactive cultural African expereince.
Last stop was Hamiltons Tented Camp. All I can say is WOW!!!!!
Walking into Hamiltons takes you straight back to the 1930's - This is really a Safari in Style. The views over the Nwatsitsonto River (dry at this time of year) is your backdrop and a sausage tree in all its glory sets the scene here. The staff welcomes you as if you have returned home from a long holiday, which was instantly relaxing. The tents are ultra luxurious with all the bells and whistles that one can only wish for. Not only are you in the lap of luxury, your stay is complete with a personal butler, rangers and trackers who are at your every beckon call.
The Rhino's built up a large appetite with all the running around and we were presented with the lunch of a lifetime at Hamiltons -truly a taste sensation.
Thanks to the Three Cities team for all the organising that went with this great visit......
