I'm reading the Rhino Africa website and wondering whether the outside world know what happens to their enquiry once it gets placed ? Herewith the step by step guide to dealing with Rhino Africa !
It all starts with you…..
If you send an enquiry through the website site it immediately arrives in our offices and gets read, and personally distributed to the most appropriate consultant. This will be the travel consultant who is the most highly qualified to assist you with the area of Africa that you have expressed an interest in travelling to. Or, if you phone in to one of our free call telephone numbers, you will here again, be put through to the most appropriate consultant, or if they are not available they will phone you back.
Then we contact you….
Depending on where you live the consultant will try and contact you by telephone, in order to establish a little bit more about your requirements and to refine your enquiry. We are not a call centre, but do like to talk to you in person. The travel consultant will ask you questions about your budget, the type of accommodation you expect to stay at, where you want to go, whether this is your first trip to Africa, and generally ‘chat’ to you to get a sense of what sort of trip you are looking for. Its often in conversations like this that we can establish that what you enquired about on your intial enquiry and what you are looking to do are completely different ! If time zones don’t permit a telephone conversation, rather than wake you up in the middle of the night, then the consultant may send you a detailed email back outlining your trip and asking you some pertinent questions that they need answering before they can start the quoting process. We aim to make contact with you within 24 hours.
We then send you quote….
Once we have a clear understanding of your requirements we are able to produce a detailed quotation for your consideration. These quotations take time and we prefer to take the time to get a good grasp of your requirements rather than bombarding you with lots of different quotations. Since we've spent the time and money to get a clear understanding of your exact travel requirements, we usually find that our quotations are more appropriate than those of competitors. Now its up to you to contact us and allow us to continue to have the pleasure of helping you plan your trip.
Then we play Ping Pong…
The consultants call it ping pong , but for anything from a couple of hours to a couple of weeks you will, together with your consultant adjust the itinerary until you have got an itinerary with which you are completely happy. Up until this stage you are under no obligation.
Bill Time….
Once you have given us the go ahead and told us to confirm the services we will confirm the services with the hotels and lodges. Once we have got confirmation from the lodges and hotels we will send you an invoice. We require a 30% deposit to confirm the booking, with the balance of 70% payable 60 days prior to travel.
Travel Bits and Bobs….
Once your balance has been paid, we pull all the documents together and produce a comprehensive travel itinerary for you. This contains information about visas, tipping, what to wear, where to eat and all manner of information about Africa. This together with the voucher for travel service is emailed or couriered to you before travel.
