TINGA - Serving up a Storm

by Nicci Brand

After a lovely game drive with a stunning African sunset as our backdrop, we headed back to what we, on the game drive vehicle, thought was the lodge.  However we were surprisingly wrong, because as we took our last turn we drove straight up to what can only be described as “Magic in the bush”.

While we were out the entire Tinga staff had been busy setting up the prettiest Bush Dinner we’ve ever seen… From hanging lanterns, to bonfires, including a fully stocked bar, the Tinga team had thought of everything and further more the food that was being prepared right there, was making everyone’s mouth water !!! It had been a long game drive and we were all eager to see what the Tinga chefs were serving up.

We started off with the most divine bowl of soup and from there it just got better.  The food was fantastic, probably the best ostrich & kudu I had ever eaten in my life… The choice of meat, vegetables and fresh salads were endless.  And to wash it all down there were countless bottles of Pecan Stream wine, red & white, which completed the flawless dinning experience and left everyone feeling totally satisfied.

It was certainly the best dinner experience of our trip, not to mention the most entertaining !!!  Thanks again to everyone at Tinga for serving up a storm…
