The launch comes at a perfect time, as Cape Town is preparing its bid to host the 2016 IGLTA (International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association) Global Convention! It’s an incredibly exciting time for LGBT rights and equalities around the world, but much of Africa still has a long way to go. In South Africa we are privileged to enjoy a progressive and liberal constitution. As the ‘gay capital’ of South Africa, it seems appropriate for Cape Town to host Africa’s inaugural IGLTA global convention. The ‘Rainbow Nation’ as it is more familiarly known, is a safe, fun, affordable and welcoming destination for gay and lesbian travellers.
