There’s something special about their laughs and chatter that echo through the lodge. Their happy attitude is simply infections, and although masks cover their beautiful smiles at the moment, you can see their joy beam through their eyes at every service. It makes such a difference when the team loves and is proud of what they do! And seeing our butlers at work is a true reflection of exactly that.

They’re always calm, well presented and ready to help. However, behind the scenes, they’re working as a team like a well-oiled machine, from quickly preparing our signature “sippy cups” before the game drive to carrying tables and chairs around to set up special dining experiences.
They also never forget to pack the all-important game drive cooler boxes and carefully set up gin tastings and bush breakfasts, as well as even coordinating the occasional wedding or proposal.
Silvan’s butler team also has a wealth of knowledge about wines and are eager to invite you into our chilled wine cellar – one of the best places to be on a hot summer’s day! Another great option is lounging by the pool, either at your Suite or the main lodge deck, sipping a refreshing gin and tonic!
