It’s only natural to ask yourself: “Why should I book with Rhino Africa?” before placing your dream holiday in our hands. Rhino Africa was a passion project I started at my kitchen table 19 years ago. Since then, it has grown into the World’s Best Safari Company that has planned dream African holidays for over 200,000 of our beloved guests. But what sets us apart? How did we go from dream to fruition, from ideas to reality and what makes us a cut above the rest and a class on our own?

We Don’t Copy and Paste

Rhino Africa stands out from the crowd because we’re a niche tour operator guided by personalised experiences. We know exactly who we are, what we can offer, and how to connect with our clients, enabling us to craft itineraries like no one else.

We understand that no two guests are the same, so why would we copy and paste itineraries? Yes, we’re experts in delivering hard-hitting experiences, which Africa is famous for, but we are actually all about those finer details. As we like to say, luxury is in the details! That’s why we make it our job to know how our guests prefer their G&T, their favourite animal to see on safari, and the life-changing experiences they really want to tick off their bucket list.

African Aficionados and Experts

According to the Oxford Dictionary, “Knowledge” is the expertise and skills acquired by an individual through experience or education. An understandable belief as almost everyone seeks knowledge since we often regard this as the key to success! And this could not be more relevant when it comes to booking your tailor-made African safari holiday.

Since our story began in 2004, the principle behind Rhino Africa has been straightforward. We believe in employing and developing African Safari Experts! A large part of this is ensuring that our Travel Experts are well trained and well-travelled. Besides, why would you trust anyone who has not experienced what they offer first-hand?

So, when it comes to creating that once-in-lifetime tailor-made holiday through Southern or East Africa, we at Rhino Africa pride ourselves on employing knowledgeable, educated and fun-loving Travel Experts dedicated to providing you with first-class service.

We Live, Eat and Breathe Africa

We’ve got the local know-how because we’ve been there, done that, and got the T-shirt. From hot air ballooning over the Maasai Mara, wining and dining at the tastiest restaurants in Cape Town, and getting up-close to photograph wild cheetahs!

At Rhino Africa, we’re passionate about sharing our first-hand experience tips and tricks to traversing Africa. And this is what enables us to provide our guests with unmatched honest, dedicated, and professional service.

The Whole Nine Yards

We combine this expert knowledge with creativity, taking experiential travel to the next level. Small boutique lodges and complex logistics characterise travel in Africa. That’s why our first-hand knowledge gives us insight into how to experience only the very best that our continent has to offer. And all of this in the most stress-free ways.

Our handpicked hotel and lodge partners get our vote for great views, smiling and well-trained staff, delectable food, unique activities, genuine management, community upliftment, wildlife conservation, eco-sensitivity and an all-around great experience.

Phew, yes, it’s a mouthful because we don’t settle for vanilla; we want decadent chocolate with all the toppings!

We Speak Your Language

A component of our knowledge lies in experience, which is a gradual process. Our team of 38 Travel Experts across five languages (English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese) may have a large box full of degrees, diplomas, accolades and awards in the attic. However, I can assure you their education won’t really impress you – their experience will.

Our team of Travel Experts has a combined knowledge and experience of over 300 years. And that’s certainly something no school and any of our competitors can provide. What’s more, we are all fiercely passionate about Africa. And we dedicate ourselves to giving our guests the best possible experience of our great continent.

Travel with The Best, Travel with Rhino Africa

We love what we do, and we love where we live – and who could blame us! Fueled by this love, we create holidays tailored to our guests’ exact requirements. And witnessing our guests’ enjoyment of this beautiful continent is our ultimate reward!

But expert African destination and product knowledge are only one of the reasons Rhino Africa has been voted Africa’s Leading Safari Company for over seven years now.

Keep an eye on our blog as we share some of the other things that make Rhino Africa the obvious choice to plan your dream African holiday.
