Royale Eatery Restaurant Review

There is currently a direct correlation between the increasing number of Blog Posts that I am writing , and my expanding waist line !

My excuse is that I have a friend visiting from the United Kingdom, who keeps reminding me that she is on holiday and with the Pound at 14.5 to 1 – eating out in Cape Town is relatively inexpensive for overseas visitors.

Last night we decided to go for dinner at Royale Eatery in Long Street.

Royale is casual Burger Joint that I believe serves the tastiest burgers in Cape Town. Choose from Big Bird ( Ostrich Patty Burger with Beetroot Relish ) or Fat Bastard ( Double Stack Burger with Cheese and Bacon ) or even a Miss Piggy Burger ( Burger with Bacon and Avocado ). All burgers are served with fries and its my advise to order the Sweet Potato Fries – with Sour Cream and Tomato Ketchup.

With its lively atmosphere, and ‘take us as you find us’ service – Royale Eatery is popular with the young and trendy, and rumour has it frequented by Colin Farrell when he was filming in Cape Town !

If your shopping in Long Street, then popping into Royale Eatery is a must. Combine this with some time in Greenmarket Square, the Cape Town Museums and Company Gardens and you’ve got a great day out in Cape Town’s city centre.
