When you get the opportunity to go to a lodge that all other lodges aspire to be, you do not say no !! This was the case for me when I was invited to spend the weekend at Singita Lebombo

We were whisked away on a 90 minute Federal Air flight from Johannesburg to the Sabi Sand Singita Airstrip where we then proceeded onto Lebombo, another short 20 minute flight away. Magical views were experienced from the air as we flew over the Kruger National Park.

On arrival at Satara Airstrip, we were welcomed with drinks and snacks followed by a 30 minute drive to the lodge.

“WOW” was my first reaction to the beauty of this architectural wonder. Stoned packed walls, wood and glass are the lodges main features. The lodge is complimented by tranquil colours to soften the look. Hospitality is at its best and the staff are always on their toes.

The highlight of the weekend was the wine tasting, conducted by Ricardo. This man knows his wines and he elecutes so well. I also had the opportunity to have a massage and play archery, which I have not done in the last 20 years.

Game viewing was awesome as we got to see a pride of 17 Lion eating on a giraffe.

I can go on and on about how fabulous this lodge is but I will leave some surprises quiet and rather let you experience the wonders of this award winning lodge for yourself.

Come on, splurge and find out why they are the best.
