Lion Sands is a Big 5 destination amongst much, much more – prolific bird life awaits you here, along with all the smaller game, such as antelope, buck, zebra, giraffe and the list goes on and on. Lion and Leopard sightings are very common as is elephant. Being a Private Game Reserve, the Game Rangers, in open vehicle 4×4 are allowed to go off road, tracking the animals with a dedicated tracker. This enables guests to get very up close and personal with the animals and being 5 meters away from a lion sighting is not uncommon.
