Q&A
1. What do you love most about your job?
The great ethos in the office, the passion of my colleagues, our pride and love for our country and the fact that we get so spoiled by being able to travel to amazing destinations in Southern and Eastern Africa.
2. What are your top 3 destinations you have visited in Africa?
Londolozi – Sabi Sand, Kruger – South Africa
Singita Grumeti – Serengeti – Tanzania
Vumbura Plains – Okavango Delta – Botswana
3. What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten on your travels?
I am not an adventurous eater at all, so I have nothing to contribute here…. I always turn down the offer of something unusual. Especially mopane worms. I’m a fillet steak kind of girl.
4. What is your most memorable safari moment?
Seeing a leopard cub with a nervous system disease that was trying to walk and catch up to her Mother. She kept falling down behind her… very sad. It was a reminder about the fragility of nature and a memory that will stay with me forever.
5. What is the one thing you have to take with you on every trip?
Mosquito repellent and a massive memory card for my camera as I take hundreds/thousands of pics when on safari or away from home.
6. Where in the World do you still want to travel to?
Back to Italy which I visited extensively when I was young. I have such find memories and can only imagine what I would think of it as an adult! Ngorongoro Crater is a close second.
7. If you could go on a dream safari with anyone at all, who would it be and why? Fictional/Real; Dead/Alive
My best friend Dane. We travel so well together and he is always up for a safari or ten, so this is an easy choice for me.
8. What is your favourite (city/beach) hotel that you always recommend to clients travelling to Africa?
Cape Grace
9. What is your favourite safari lodge that you always recommend to clients travelling to Africa?
Londolozi
10. Where is your favourite place to eat in Cape Town?
La Mouette
