“The Oscars of the Travel Industry”

Our gallant tribe chief, David Ryan, and Marketing Manager supreme, Ross Bowers, have just returned from the prestigious 2013 World Travel Awards in Nairobi, Kenya. And they brought home the trophy for Africa’s Leading Safari Company, after being nominated along with the likes of Go2Africa, Twiga Tours and Sun Safaris!

It’s a proud moment for our whole team… to see our efforts and passion acknowledged in such a way. But we couldn’t have done it without your support.

The awards ceremony was a black-tie event, held on Wednesday 16 October at the Safari Park Hotel & Casino. As Ross described their 24 hour sojourn in Kenya… “Nairobi. One night. Four flights. A gala dinner, a trophy, a spot of roulette and a quick splash in the pool. Standard Wednesday night…”

“To receive this accolade in our tenth year of trading is an incredible achievement. It would not have been possible without my incredible team. Each of them is passionate about delivering incredible experiences for our clients and passionate about sharing and uplifting this magnificent continent of Africa.”

The 20th World Travel Awards

This year, the 20th World Travel Awards, we were also nominated for 2013 Africa’s Leading Luxury Tour Operator, among many other world-class names.

We’d like to extend our congratulations to Royal Chundu in Zambia which won “Zambia’s Leading Safari Lodge”. We bumped into Tina Aponte – MD & Owner of Royal Chundu at the awards night and snapped a quick photo:
